Work Can Fit Your Life, Not the Other Way Around
For so many people, the idea of taking a vacation comes with a side of guilt.
*"What if work piles up?"*
*"What if my boss gets frustrated?"*
*"What if I have to choose between making memories and keeping my job?"*
At the Rachel Adams Lee Group, we don't believe it has to be that way.
Recently, two of our incredible Virtual Assistants packed their bags and spent seven days exploring beautiful Thailand. They wandered through vibrant markets, experienced a new culture, made unforgettable memories... and they still showed up for work every business day.
How?
By working just half of their day and enjoying the rest of it soaking in everything Thailand had to offer.
And honestly? We couldn't have been happier for them.
Because we believe something that seems to be forgotten in today's workplace:
People do their best work when they have a life they love.
We don't hire Virtual Assistants simply because they live somewhere else. We hire amazing human beings who become an extension of our family, our clients, and our business.
Whether someone sits in our California office or logs in from across the world, they deserve the same respect, flexibility, encouragement, and opportunity.
That's not just something we say.
It's how we lead.
Our VAs celebrate birthdays, take family vacations, attend important milestones, and chase dreams outside of work—just like the rest of our team. We want them creating memories, exploring new places, spending time with the people they love, and living full, meaningful lives.
Because work should support your life—not consume it.
The beautiful part is that today's technology makes this possible.
A reliable internet connection, clear communication, and a team that trusts one another means someone can support our clients from Thailand one week, the Philippines the next, or wherever life takes them.
Results don't come from sitting in a certain chair, they come from people who feel trusted, appreciated, and empowered.
We've built our culture around flexibility without sacrificing excellence, that means we communicate well, we plan ahead, we support one another, and when someone needs time to explore the world, the team rallies behind them instead of making them feel guilty.
That's the kind of culture we're incredibly proud of.
At the end of the day, success isn't measured only by closings, revenue, or growth. It's measured by whether the people on your team are building lives they're excited to wake up to.
We want our Virtual Assistants to have careers they're proud of, while also collecting passport stamps, making memories with family, trying new foods, watching sunsets in places they've never been, and saying "yes" to adventures they may have never imagined possible.
Because life is happening right now. Not someday. Not after retirement. Not when things finally slow down.
Right now.
If you can build a business that allows people to thrive professionally and personally, why wouldn't you?
Watching our team work from one of the most beautiful places in the world while still serving our business with excellence reminded us exactly why we lead the way we do. People first. Always.
Because when you genuinely care about your team as people—not just employees—they'll care deeply about your mission, your clients, and each other.
And that's the kind of workplace we're committed to building every single day.
